Adult Dance Instructor (Chicago – Old Town)

Rani Dance Co. is looking for a passionate and experienced Bollywood dance instructor to lead weekly hour-long classes in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood for adults. This is a part-time, in-person role that runs across four, 5-week sessions (20 classes total) throughout the year (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring).

Who We’re Looking For:

You’re an energetic, confident instructor who loves sharing South Asian dance with others. Whether our students are total beginners or seasoned dancers, you know how to create a welcoming, encouraging space that celebrates culture, creativity, and movement. You also know how to grow the dance community and increase the amount of dance participants.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of dance experience

• At least 2 years of teaching and choreography experience

• Proficient in at least 3 of the following styles:

• Bollywood

• Bhangra

• Raas/Garba

• Classical (Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, etc.)

• Kuthu

• Bollywood-Hip Hop

• Strong communication and classroom management skills

• Personable, flexible, and great with building community in class

Nice to Have:

• Experience choreographing for performances or showcases

• Background in fitness or movement-based instruction

Pay: Competitive hourly rate.

Kids’ Dance Class Assistant (Des Plaines – Sundays Only)

Rani Dance Co. is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic assistant to support our kids' Bollywood dance classes in Des Plaines. Classes run on Sunday afternoons between 3–6pm, and the ideal candidate will be excited to bring energy, patience, and positivity to our classroom environment.

Who We’re Looking For:
You’re great with kids, have a strong dance foundation, and are eager to support both students and lead instructors during class. You’re organized, dependable, and bring warmth and energy into the studio every week.

Requirements:

• Must be available most Sundays from 3–6pm

• Experience working with children (ages 4-18)

• 5+ years of dance experience

• Comfortable with or experienced in at least 3 of the following styles:

• Bollywood

• Bhangra

• Raas/Garba

• Classical (Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, etc.)

• Kuthu

• Bollywood-Hip Hop

• Team player with great communication skills

• Open to feedback and eager to learn

Nice to Have:

• Experience assisting or teaching in a dance class setting
